Casting class for this week, required that we surf the web for inspiration related to the stereotype of a Valley Girl [who is mainly known for the vast array of speech cliches], as her attributes relate to the world of fashion.
I whipped together the complete look, above...after the following picture, jumped off of the search page at me, and years of watching the hit television show "Sister-Sister" came to mind.
Styling Description:
The era of the Valley Girl, also known as "Valleyspeak" is characterized by the dialect of vapid materialism in colloquial California. Boogiie's outfit is inspired by the confidence in display of personal style, of a teenager from that era.
This Ensemble was put together in honor or being able to scream "Punky Brewster". Wacky, gawky, clashing, confidence in wearing what you like, even if it means wearing it all at once!
